Tempo Clamps® - Fasten your wings in production

tempo-clamps-application-slat

In aircraft production every second counts, especially during the assembly of wing slats.
These movable panels must be perfectly aligned, repeatedly installed/removed and has many quality inspections.

In this application, technicians simplified the setup process using Tempo Clamps.
Four holes, two on each side of the slats made it possible to clamp them securely from one side, allowing for a straightforward and repeatable operation. The Hand-Operated version was used to apply a consistent clamping force, ensuring the slats remained properly aligned during each assembly.

Once the slat is properly fastened, the factory can install temporary fasteners, which are also available at Anemo Engineering.

After this the structural fasteners are installed and then special coatings are applied on the flaps or slats.

Once the wing is fully ready, simply by pushing the knob on the Tempo Clamp, the lat is then released and ready for sale. Thanks to the four locking balls pressure is distributed evenly across the surface, preventing any marks or damage to the slat.

Tempo Clamps is available in two versions:
Hand-Operated: featuring a knurled body and counter nut design for intuitive operation.
Tool-Operated: designed for controlled torque via tools. Optional self-locking nut for vibration resistance.
